Lance was a dear if totally off-the-wall friend whose company I always enjoyed. I still remember writing out detailed instructions for how to use his first mobile phone, in 2003. We then received many unintelligible messages... Much missed.

Thoughts
I met Lance on Hiddensee, a small East German island in the Baltic Sea. It was the most unlikely spot, of all places, to come across an Englishman. Whenever I went there in the years after, we made sure to meet and have at least dinner together. He would get there on his bike that had a tiny make-shift flower vase attached to the handlebar, always filled with flowers.

Lance introduced me to Gozo. I've known him for many years and we've shared happy moments as friends and in the Art world since he lived in Costessey. Loved the man! Judy xx
